Bonai: Normal life was thrown out of gear at Bonai in Sundargarh district on Thursday following an economic blockade called by the CPI (M) demanding immediate repair of National Highway-215 and State Highway-10.
According to reports, train services were hit the hardest with agitators staging sit-ins at Roxy, Pata Sahi and Bimalagarh railway stations here.
The roads too were deserted as most shops, markets and other commercial establishments downed shutters. Hundreds of vehicles could be seen stranded at different places with the agitators blocking the roads connecting the National Highway, reports added.
