Bhubaneswar: East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced the permanent addition of a non-AC chair car coach to the Puri-Bangiriposi-Puri Express (Train No. 12892/12891).
ECoR’s initiative is aimed at enhancing passenger amenities and accommodating increased demand on the Puri-Bangiriposi route.
The inter-city superfast express will now have 7 non-AC chair car coaches, besides 1 AC chair car, 5 general chair car and 2 luggage-cum-chair car coaches equipped with Divyangjan-friendly facilities to support accessible travel.
The new facility came into effect on September 1, with the train (No. 12892) departing Puri at 4.20 pm. The extra coach will be available on the other side of the route (Train No. 12891) beginning September 2, leaving Bangiriposi at 4.20 am.
