ECoR Cancels 178 Trains Running Through Odisha For Cyclone ‘Dana’; Check The List

Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has cancelled as many as 178 trains in view of impeding cyclone ‘Dana’ which has been forecast to hit the Odisha coast on October 24 and 25.

According to a press release of the ECoR on Tuesday, the movement of these trains on both Up and Down tracks will remain suspended for 3 days from October 23 to 25. While 85 Up trains have been cancelled, 93 Down trains will go off the tracks on all three days, the release stated.

Down Trains

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that the depression over eastcentral Bay of Bengal will intensify into a cyclonic storm by October 23. It is likely to move towards Odisha coasts and landfall between Kendrapada and Bhadrak by October 24-25.
