ECoR Extends Services Of Special Trains, Provides New Stoppages In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: In order to meet the demands of commuters and clear additional rush in regular trains, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to extend the services of some Special Trains under its jurisdiction.

According to a release of the ECoR, 08465 Puri-Udhna (Surat) Jan Sadharan Weekly Unreserved Special Train will leave Puri at 1455 hrs every Wednesday between 12th July and 2nd August. In the return direction, it will leave Udhna at 2300hrs every Thursdays between 13th July and 3rd August.

The train will have stoppages at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Dhenkanal, Talcher Road, Angul, Rairakhol, Sambalpur City, Jharsuguda Road, Ib, Bilaspur, Raipur, Nagpur, Wardha and Bhusabal.

08562 Visakhapatnam-Rangapara North Special from Visakhapatnam will leave at 0010hrs every Sunday upto 30th August and reach Rangapara North at 1000hrs on Monday. In the return direction, it will leave Rangapara North at 0515hrs every Tuesday upto 31st August and arrive at Visakhapatnam at 1535hrs on Wednesdays.

The services of following Special Trains have been extended:

  • 02837/02838 Santragachhi-Puri-Santragachhi Special leaving Santragachhi on every Friday and leaving Puri on every Saturday has been extended to run up to 26th August 2023.
  • 08011/08012 Bhanjapur (Baripada)-Puri- Bhanjapur Special leaving Bhanjapur on every Thursday & Saturday and leaving Puri on every Fridays & Sundays has been extended to run up to 1st September 2023.
  • 08588 Visakhapatnam-Banaras Special Express leaving from Visakhapatnam on every Wednesday will now run up to 30th August, 2023. 08587 Banaras-Visakhapatnam Special Express leaving from Banaras on every Thursday will now run up to 31st August, 2023.

It has also been decided to provide experimental stoppage of following trains at various stations:

  • 18423/18424 Bhubaneswar-Nayagrh Town-Bhubaneswar Seva Express at Lingaraj Temple Road Station w.e.f. 15th July, 2023.
  • 17015 Bhubaneswar-Secunderabad Visakha Express leaving from Bhubaneswar w.e.f. 28th June is being provided stoppage at Sattenapalle, Piduguralla & Nadikude Stations.
  • 17015 Bhubaneswar-Secunderabad Visakha Express leaving from Bhubaneswar w.e.f. 5th July is being provided stoppage at Miryalaguda & Nalgonda Stations.
  • 17479 Puri-Tirupati Express leaving from Puri w.e.f. 5th July 2023 is being provided stoppage at Chinna Ganjam Station.
  • 12861 Visakhapatnam-Mahbubnagar Express leaving from Visakhapatnam w.e.f. 5th July 2023 is being provided stoppage at Madhira Station.
