Bhubaneswar: As per the Railway Ministry decision, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has allowed passengers to travel by booking Unreserved Tickets (UTS) in some trains.
As per the rules, passengers with fully waiting list tickets are not permitted to travel in train and enter the stations. They are now allowed to travel with UTS in the trains for which unreserved journey has been permitted.
The trains which will entertain the UTS tickets include Puri-Angul-Puri Special and Khurda Road-Kendujhargarh- Khurda Road Special trains in Khurda Road Division, according to an ECoR release.
Besides, Gunupur-Visakhapatnam-Gunupur Special, Raipur-Visakhapatnam-Raipur Special, Titalagarh-Bilaspur-Titilagarh Special and Kakinada-Visakhapatnam-Kakinada Special trains have been allowed for travelling with UTS tickets.
These apart, UTS tickets will be provided for Khurda Road-Puri-Khurda Road Passenger Special and Kharagpur-Bhadrak-Kharagpur Specials after resumption of their services shortly.
The ECoR has appealed to the passengers to follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviour during their train journey.
