Bhubaneswar: In view the demands and to clear additional rush of passengers in regular trains on important routes, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to run special trains, including two from Odisha. during Holi festival.
According to an official release, five pairs of Holi Special Trains from ECoR jurisdiction will run towards Pune, Patna and Nizamuddin. Services of some special trains running earlier through its jurisdiction have also been extended during the period.
Sambalpur-Pune Holi Special
08327/08328 Sambalpur-Pune-Sambalpur Holi Special from Sambalpur will leave at 10 pm every Sunday between March 17 and March 31. In the return direction, 08328 Pune-Sambalpur Holi Special from Pune will leave at 9.15 am every Tuesday between March 19 and April 2.
This train will stop at Bargarh Road, Balangir, Titilagarh. Kantabanji, Khariar Road, Raipur, Nagpur, Manmadnagar between Sambalpur and Pune.
Puri-Patna Holi Special
08477/08478 Puri-Patna-Puri Holi Special from Puri will leave at 4.45 pm every Monday between March 18 and March 25. In the return direction, Patna-Puri Holi Special from Patna will leave at 1.15 pm every Tuesday between March 19 and March 26.
This train will have stoppages at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore, Adra, Jasidih between Puri and Patna.
Puri-Nizamuddin Holi Special via Sambalpur City
08475/08476 Puri-Nizamuddin-Puri Holi Special from Puri will leave at 4.50 am every Friday between March 22 and March 29. In the return direction, Nizamuddin-Puri Holi Special from Nizamuddin will leave at 11.35 pm every Saturday between March March 23 and March 30.
This train will stop at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Naraj, Dhenkanal, Sambalpur City, Bilaspur, Gwalior, Mathura between Puri and Nizamuddin.
Visakhapatnam-Nizamuddin Holi Special
08571/08572 Visakhapatnam -Nizamuddin- Visakhapatnam Holi Special from Visakhapatnam will leave at 8.20 am every Saturday between March 23 and March 30. In the return direction, Nizamuddin-Visakhapatnam Holi Special from Nizamuddin will leave at 11.35 pm every Sunday between March 24 and March 31.
This train will stop at Vizianagaram, Rayagada, Titilagarh, Khariar Road, Raipur, New Katni, Gwalior, Mathura between Visakhapatnam and Nizamuddin.
Visakhapatnam-Patna Holi Special
08517/08518 Visakhapatnam -Patna- Visakhapatnam Holi Special from Visakhapatnam will leave at 9.25 am every Wednesday between March 20 and March 27. In the return direction, Patna-Visakhapatnam Holi Special from Patna will leave at 1 pm every Thursday between March 21 and March 28.
This train will stop at Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Palasa, Brahmapur, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Baleswar, Adra, Jasidih between Visakhapatnam and Patna.
How to look for Special Trains
If passengers are getting wait list status in regular trains during this season, they may book Train tickets in Special trains running from and through ECoR jurisdiction. The Special Train Number starts with “0” (zero) or with “8” and passengers can easily find it from National Train Enquiry System (NTES) for online ticket or may ask at the PRS inquiry counter for counter tickets.
Passengers can book their tickets online by following IRCTC website or book ticket through Mobile App or may book tickets from PRS Counters.
