ECoR Witnesses 11% Jump In Freight Earning

Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) issued a statement on Wednesday stating that it has witnessed a jump of 11% in its freight earnings during the financial year 2019-2020.

According to the statement, ECoR has set a new record by loading 200.85 million tonne of freight and earning Rs 20,125 crore from it in its jurisdiction during 2019-2020.

In the financial year 2018-19, ECoR had loaded 191.76 million tonne of freight and earned Rs 18,180 crore from it, stated the ECoR Spokesperson.

The ECoR statement lauded its hardworking staff and gave them the credit for the recent achievement.

It also appreciated the efforts and cooperation of stakeholders including collieries, ports, steel plants, cement, alumina plants, petroleum companies, and Food Corporation of India.
