Cuttack: East Coast Railway (ECoR) organised ‘Rail Jan Samvaad’ at Cuttack railway station on Thursday as part of Special Campaign 6.
The programme, led by ECoR AGM B K Mishra, was part of a pan-India one-day event held across Indian Railways, with Jan Samvaad organised at railway stations followed by cleanliness activities.
The initiative aims to strengthen direct communication between Railways and the public, increase passenger awareness and promote greater public participation in improving railway services.
Mishra and other senior officials interacted with passengers who were present at the station, listened to their feedback and suggestions on station facilities, passenger amenities and overall travel experience, and took note of their concerns.
The passengers’ feedback and suggestions were recorded and will be reviewed. Key issues will be taken up for action at the appropriate level for continuous improvement of services.
During the programme, passengers were sensitised about a number of important issues:
* Passenger safety and observing safety precautions while boarding and alighting from trains
* Keeping railway premises clean and protecting railway property
* Avoiding unsafe practices and cooperating with railway personnel for smooth and safe train operations
* Responsible travel practices.
