ED To Probe ‘Financial Transactions’ Of Sacked OSSC Private Secretary

Bhubaneswar: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will probe the illegal financial transactions of Biranchi Narayan Sahoo, the former private secretary to a member of the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) member.

He is currently being interrogated by the State Vigilance, which took him on four-day remand on Wednesday, in the disproportionate asset case.

Sources said that the ED will investigate various angles – the source and the mode of monetary transaction, who have received the money, when and where the deals were made and who are the candidates who have got the job by offering the money.

Besides, the central investigating agency will also probe the complicity of the OSSC officials in this racket and bring them under the purview of its investigation.

Meanwhile, Vigilance Director YK Jethwa arrived at the State Vigilance headquarters and had a meeting with the officers on the status of the investigation.
