Edupreneur Bijaya Kumar Sahoo’s Father Passes Away

Bhubaneswar: Arjun Sahoo, the father of Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, advisor to Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan and founder SAI International Education Group, passed away in Bhubaneswar on Friday. He was 90 years old.

According to his family, Arjun Sahoo died at his Sastri Nagar house. His son, daughter Bidyutprava Sahoo and daughter in law Dr Silpi Sahoo were present when he breathed his last.

His last rites will be performed in Puri on Friday, his family said.

Arjun Sahoo had served served as the deputy director of Sericulture, Government of Odisha before leaving his job to start his own business. He was also a philanthropist, and was associated with several NGOs, orphanages and old age homes.

He hailed from Kulashri village in Cuttack’s Niali block and was married to Sushila Devi. She died in 2014.
