Bhubaneswar: A baby crocodile was spotted inside an enclosure of a white tiger much to the dismay of Nandankanan Zoological Park authorities on Tuesday and efforts are on to rescue it.
According to sources, the zoo had fewer visitors owing to the strike and some of them spotted the crocodile inside a water body at enclosure number 33 (A), which houses white tiger Samrat, Royal Bengal Tigress Renuka and two tiger cubs. The crocodile, which is assumed to be around two-month-old, plunged into the water body, when Samrat tried to attack it, the sources said.
On December 14, 2017, a monkey had entered the enclosure number 32 (B) of tigers named Bahubali and Kundan. Tiger Bahubali chased down the monkey. After mauling the monkey inside the enclosure, the tiger later fed on it.
