Eight Servitors Of Bhadrak Akhandalamani Temple Injured In Acid Attack

Bhadrak: At least eight servitors of Akhandalamani temple in Bhadrak district sustained burn injuries in an acid attack following a group clash on Wednesday night.

The injured were immediately rushed to the district headquarters hospital. The condition of two among is stated to be critical.

According to available information, a clash broke out between two groups of servitors of Aradi Peetha on Wednesday morning over performing seva puja for some devotees.  Following which, a group of servitors threw acid on the servitors of the other group.

On being informed about the incident, Dhusuri police reached the spot and detained two servitors in connection with the incident.

The servitors from both the groups and devotees are being questioned as a part of the investigation process, police sources.
