Mumbai: The third wave of COVID-19 pandemic, driven by the Omicron variant, seems to be upon us. Like during the wave, a number of celebrities are getting infected by the coronavirus.
Hours after John Abraham shared on social media that he and wife Priya Runchal had tested positive, Ekta Kapoor joined the growing list of Bollywood celebrities to contract the virus.
“Despite taking all precautions I have tested covid positive. I am fine and I request everyone who has come in contact with me to please test themselves,” the 46-year-old TV and film producer and director wrote on Instagram.
Among those who have tested positive recently are director Rahul Rawail, actresses Mrunal Thakur, Nora Fatehi and Shilpa Shirodkar.
