Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police have made elaborate arrangements for the Independence Day celebration in the city.
A review meeting was held at its camp office here on Friday. It was presided over by the Director General of Police (DGP) BK Sharma.
“For the first time, the state-level Independence Day celebration will be held at the Exhibition Ground. For the smooth conduct of the function, we have security and traffic arrangements and the movement of the VVIPs,” Sharma told mediapersons.
Sitting arrangements will be made visitors and spectators so that they can witness the event without any difficulty, he added.
Among others, director (Intelligence) Sunil Roy, ADG RP Koche and RK Sharma, Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty and Bhubaneswar DCP Anup Sahu were present.
