Elderly Man Shot At By Miscreants In Khurda

Khurda: An elderly man was critically injured after some unidentified miscreants opened fire on him at Tentulimula village under Jankia police limits in Khurda district on Saturday.

The injured has been identified as Judhisthira Mohapatra. He sustained bullet injuries in his two legs. Following the incident, he was rushed to the AIIMS here.

On being informed, Khurda SDPO and Jankia police reached the spot and started investigation. The incident is being attributed to a possible past enmity.

Notably, a man and his minor daughter sustained bullet injuries after miscreants opened fire on them at Kiabandha Sahi village of Jeypore in Koraput on Friday evening.

The injured duo has been identified as K Satyanarayana and his 10-year-old daughter.

The minor girl sustained a bullet injury in her chest while a bullet hit her father near his ear. Following the incident, they were rushed to a nearby hospital and then shifted to Koraput district headquarters hospital.
