Ganjam: In a tragic incident, an elderly man was trampled to death by an elephant at Shovachandrapur village under Shergada police limits of in Ganjam on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Bhima Behera, a resident of Shovachandrapur village.
According to sources, the wild animal trampled him when he was working in a farmland. Behera died on the spot.
On being informed, forest department officials reached the spot and started investigation into the matter.
