Bhubaneswar: An 80-year-old woman was rescued from a roadside manhole near BMC hospital at Old Town area here on Friday.
On being informed by locals, who spotted the woman after hearing screams, a team of four fire officials reached the spot and pulled her out of the 20 ft deep manhole.
The victim had sustained injuries on her head and was admitted to Capital Hospital here. Her condition is stated to be stable.
The woman fell into the manhole around 8 pm on Thursday, a fire official said.
