Elderly Woman Run Over By Train In Odisha’s Sonepur

Sonepur: An elderly woman died after being run over by a passenger train near Narasinghgarh railway station in Odisha’s Sonepur district on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Ratika Podh, a resident of nearby Khambeswaripali.

According to sources, the woman was crossing the railway tracks to go to her agriculture field when the mishap took place. She was crushed to death and the mutilated body was recovered later.

On being informed, GRP personnel visited the site and sent teh body for autopsy.
