New Delhi: Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra is set to become the next chief election commissioner, News18 quoted sources as saying on Sunday.
The order elevating him to the top post may be issued anytime, the sources was further quoted as saying. Chandra will assume charge on April 13, a day after incumbent Sunil Arora demits office, the report added.
Chandra was appointed as election commissioner on February 14, 2019 ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. He will demit office on May 14, 2022.
