Sambalpur: Electronic equipment was found to have been stolen from the Biju Patnaik E-Learning Centre at Vir Surendra Sai Institute of Technology (VSSUT) premises at Burla in Sambalpur district on Wednesday.
Members of staff, on entering the E-Learning Centre, found 49 processors and RAM missing from desktop computers.
A Burla police team rushed to the centre with a scientific team for a thorough investigation.
The door and lock were found intact.
Police detained the security guard for interrogation.
