Keonjhar: An elderly couple was allegedly hacked to death by unidentified miscreants while sleeping on the verandah of their house at Godhipada under Ghatagaon police limits in Keonjhar district on Saturday night.
The deceased were identified as Ramai Munda (69) and his wife Champa Munda (64).
Locals spotted the blood-soaked bodies early this morning and alerted police, who reached the village with a scientific team and began investigation. The bodies have been sent for postmortem.
The motive behind the double murder is yet to be ascertained.
