Balasore: An ailing elephant calf died while undergoing treatment at Khumkuta under Kuladiha sanctuary in Nilagiri, Balasore on Monday.
The 10-year-old baby elephant was suffering from blood deficiency.
Though the calf was under treatment by the forest department, it succumbed on Monday morning, informed Ranger Laxman Pradhan.
The body of the calf was taken for postmortem.
