Baripada: The carcass of an elephant was found inside the forest in Chaturi Ghat area under Karanjia forest division of Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Saturday morning.
Forest staff rushed to the spot after getting information from residents. Forest officials told mediapersons that the 5-year-old elephant died from a protracted illness. The carcass will be buried after conducting postmortem, they said.
