Bargarh: An elephant herd strayed into a village in Baragarh district and destroyed paddy stocked in a mandi at Dahigaon market yard in Padampur here on Monday. The farmers informed the forest department officials about the incident. On being informed, a team forest department officials and police reached the spot. Efforts are on to drive away the pachyderms. Notably, the elephant herd had come from the nearby forest.
