Dhenkanal: A woman was killed by a wild elephant in Hindol forest range in Dhenkanal district on Saturday morning.
The deceased, Damayanti Biswal, of Babandha Kharidali village had gone to her cashew garden when the elephant attacked her.
Following information, Hindol forest range staff reached the spot and retrieved the woman’s body. It was sent to the community health centre at Hindol for post mortem.
Forest staff are making efforts to drive away the elephant from the area.
