Anandpur: In a major haul, officials of Anandpur Forest Range in Keonjhar district arrested three persons and seized elephant tusks worth Rs 10 lakh from their possession on Monday night.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of forest officials led by the Keonjhar DFO intercepted a vehicle near Bayapita village under Harichandanpur police limits. The foresters searched the vehicle and recovered 14 tusks weighing around 19 kg. They also arrested the three persons in the vehicle.
Officials said the three accused were being interrogated to ascertain their links with the racket.
