Bhubaneswar: For the first time Elina Samantaray and Sabyasachi Mishra will be seen romancing on the silver screen. While the title is yet to be finalised, the film will be jointly produced by Dubai based filmmaker Akshay Parija and Zee Sarthak, under the direction of Basant Sahu and is scheduled for a Raja release. The duo along with comedy king Papu Pom Pom are going to take the audience on a laughter ride in the comic flick.
“It’s a romantic comedy film in which Pappu Pom Pom is also playing a major role. The film’s title will be announced soon. I hope this film will be released as per the scheduled date to get the maximum audience response,” said Elina who has already carved a niche in the Odia cine industry since her debut film ‘Ishq Tu Hi Tu’ opposite Arindam. However, her other film ‘Tokata Fasigala’ opposite Sabyasachi has been delayed for release.
Recently, she has completed shooting for an advertisement in Mumbai. Sharing her experience she said, “There is not much difference working in Mumbai or Odisha. Our advertisements are made according to the available budget and market, while in Mumbai it is grand and more organised. There is no dearth of content or creativity in Odisha”.
After successfully working with Anubhav, Babushan, Jyoti in a series of hit movies, she is one of the top actors in the industry, known for portraying every character with ease.
The success of ‘Love Station’, ‘Kabula Barabula’, ‘Abhay’, ‘Happy Lucky’ and ‘Jhiata Bigidigala’ has made her most sought after heroine for producers. Her journey began after winning the reality show ‘Kie Heba Mo Heroine’ telecast in Tarang channel.
Asked if ever should like to join any political party, she quickly said, “I am not going to participate in the campaign also. Acting is my passion and I am enjoying it”.
