Elon Musk ‘A Fan Of Modi’, Tesla Or Starlink Coming To India Soon!

Bhubaneswar: After his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, founder of Tesla Elon Musk on Wednesday said that he was incredibly excited about the future of India as it had more to offer the world than any other large country.

Calling himself a “fan of Modi”, Musk added that he spoke about possible investments from Tesla or Starlink in India. “I am confident Tesla will be in India and will do so as soon as humanly possible.”

His praise was the aftermath of what he called an excellent meeting with the Prime Minister, who is on a five-day official state visit to the US. “It was excellent and a very good conversation. I am planning to visit India next year,” Musk said.

Modi met the now owner of Twitter at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel.

He also praised PM Modi for his vision for India. “PM Modi really cares about India because he is pushing us to make significant investment in India, which is something that we tend to do. He really wants to do the right thing for India. He wants to be open, he wants to be supportive to the companies. And obviously, at the same time, make sure that it accrues to India’s advantage.”

The Prime Minister has invited Elon Musk to visit India to make significant investments for his electric car Tesla in India. Last month, executives of Tesla had visited India and held talks with Indian bureaucrats and ministers on establishing a manufacturing base for cars and batteries in India while Musk had hinted at picking a location for a new factory by the end of this year.

They had earlier in 2015 during Modi’s visit to Tesla Motors factory in California.

This is the Prime Minister’s maiden state visit. He is scheduled to meet the Indian community there and hold a tete-a-tete with President Joe Biden.
