New Delhi: Elon Musk’s X, formerly Twitter, is facing massive worldwide outage.
Thousands of X users have been reporting issues with the microblogging platform at different times throughout Monday.
According to Downdetector.com, an outage-tracking website, the first disruption started at around 3.30 pm IST, a second spike took place at 7 pm and a third one at 8.44 pm. Users were unable to access the app or website across different regions of the world.
Over 40,000 users have registered complaints of service interruptions in countries like India, the US, the UK, Australia and Canada.
Among those facing issues, 56 per cent of users encountered problems with the app itself, while 33 per cent have issues on the website and 11 per cent reported trouble with server connections.
X is yet to provide a statement regarding the disruptions.
This is not the first time that X has suffered service disruptions since Musk acquired ownership took ownership of the social media platform in October 2022.
Users took to other social media platforms to express their frustration.
“X is down. Posting this on X so people know about X being down,” quipped one user in between the outages.
“X went down! Who else thought they got suspended? 😅 @elonmusk, what happened, my friend? Did someone trip over the server cord and unplug it?” commented another person tagging Musk.
“Twitter/X was down for nearly an hour this morning,” read another complaint.
