Emerging Economies University Rankings: NIT-Rourkela Bags Top Position Among NITs

Bhubaneswar: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela has been ranked between 201-250 in the Emerging Economies University Rankings.

NIT-Rourkela bagged the top position among all the NITs of the country. Overall, 606 universities from 48 countries were listed for the ranking in 2021, according to results published by the Times Higher Education.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings is the global performance table that judges research-intensive universities across the world.

The rankings use 13 indicators clubbed into five categories: Teaching (the learning environment); Research (volume, income and reputation); Citations (research influence); International outlook (staff, students and research); and Industry income (knowledge transfer), according to a press release.
