Bhubaneswar: Eminent Odia poet and litterateur Sunil Prusty passed away in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday following a brief illness, family sources said. He was 61.
Prusty was admitted to the Capital Hospital here after he suddenly fell ill in the morning. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the hospital, the sources said.
Born in 1963 in Bargarh, Prusty was associated with a host of literary activities. He was also editor of ‘Sachitra Vijaya’, a literary magazine.
On completion of education, he had a brief stint in teaching profession. Subsequently, he devoted all his time in writing and editing various literary publications.
