Eminent Odisha Academic Pramod Pattanayak Passes Away

Bhubaneswar: Eminent academician Prof Pramod Chandra Pattanayak passed away here on Monday following a brief illness.

He was 88 and is survived by three sons.

Prof. Pattanayak complained of uneasiness in the morning and was rushed to a private hospital, where he breathed his last.

Prof. Pattanayak served the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA), as professor and advisor in the Department of Electrical Engineering for eight years.

He also worked as professor at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) in Burla and Dean of College of Engineering & Technology (presently Odisha University of Technology and Research) here for 11 years before joining SOA.

Professors and faculty members from SOA visited his residence to pay their last respects.
