Bhubaneswar: For the first time, the Annual Rocky Mountain South Asian Classical Music Festival saw an Odissi classical song performance.
The virtual festival is being organised by Colorado Fine Arts Association and will conclude on March 14.
The Odissi song was included in the 14th edition of the festival and Guru Ramahari Das was invited to perform on the occasion.
The eminent Odissi vocalist sang ‘Asi Ghana Kala Hoila Re’ song, written by Kabi Samat Upendra Bhanj.
Guru Dhaneswar Swain and Ajay Kumar Das accompanied him on the mardala and harmonium respectively.
The 30 minutes performance was appreciated by the audience who had logged in from several countries, sources said.
