Mumbai: There’s good news for Kotak Mahindra Bank employees – they will henceforth be given a ‘fitness allowance’ for their health and wellness.
To be eligible for the monthly fitness allowance, employees will have to share their health and fitness goals with the bank, The Free Press Journal reported.
The bank will also provide a ‘remote working allowance’ to its employees, who will be classified as full-time or working in partially remote areas.
The allowances will be granted from December 1.
“The new normal has brought with it a unique set of challenges. In a work-from-home environment, it’s been seen that work-life balance is getting impacted, and we give utmost importance to employee well being — physical and emotional, always,” Kotak group chief human resources officer Sukhjit Pasricha said.
