Empowered Wheels: All-Women Force At Ola Electric FutureFactory

New Delhi: Ola chief executive Bhavish Aggarwal on Monday said that Ola
FutureFactory would be run entirely by women employing over 10,000 women at full capacity making it the world’s largest women-only factory and the only all-women automotive manufacturing facility across the world.

“This is the first in a series of initiatives we are undertaking at Ola to create a more inclusive workforce and provide economic opportunities for women across the board. We have invested significantly to train and upskill them in core manufacturing skills and they will be responsible for the entire production of every vehicle manufactured at Ola Futurefactory” Aggarwal said in a blogpost.

The Ola founder said that enabling women with economic opportunities improves not just their lives but that of their families and the whole community. Spread across 500 acres, the Ola Futurefactory will initially start with 10 lakh annual production capacity, which will be scaled up to 20 lakh annual capacity, as per market demand, and growth of the segment. According to Ola Electric, once completed, the plant will have an annual capacity of 1 crore units.
