Mumbai: Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat had a fallout during the shooting of Anurag Basu-directed 2004 erotic thriller ‘Murder’.
Twenty years later, the Bollywood actors buried the hatchet.
Emraan and Mallika bumped into each other at the wedding reception of film producer Anand Pandit’s daughter here on Thursday. And they were only too happy to catch up with a hug and smiles.
The duo interacted with each other and hugged each other warmly at the party.
The gorgeous Mallika, clad in a pink dress, stepped on to the photo booth. Emraan, in a black suit, was happy to join her and pose for photographs.
The excited paparazzi had a field day. And when videos and photos surfaced on social media, fans were delighted to see the actors who shared a sizzling chemistry in ‘Murder’.
However, the two didn’t work together in any more film thereafter as they didn’t get along during the filming of ‘Murder’.
Mallika called her fight with Emraan “childish” during an interview with Mandira Bedi on her show ‘The Love Laugh Live’ three years ago.
“The funniest was with Emraan Hashmi after or during ‘Murder’. We didn’t speak and now I think it was so childish. It was after the film I think during promotions or something we had a misunderstanding. It was so uncalled for and so childish on my part also,” Mallika confessed.
Emraan added to the problems by calling Mallika a “bad kisser” on Karan Johar’s ‘Koffee With Karan’. When Karan asked him what one might find in Mallika’s bedroom, he replied, “An idiot’s guide to succeed in Hollywood.”
Mallika reacted by saying that the snake she kissed in her film ‘Hisss’ was a better kisser than her ‘Murder’ co-star Emraan.
Some fans felt “nostalgic” seeing their reunion.
“Best jodi… Bring the time of murder movie back,” wrote another user.
“Iconic pair.. no one can ever forget,” read another comment.
