New Delhi: Four Border Security Force (BSF) jawans were feared dead and at least 28 others injured after their bus fell into a deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam on Friday.
A total of 36 jawans were travelling in a private bus on election duty during the upcoming second phase of Jammu & Kashmir Assembly polls next week.
Unfortunately, the driver lost control and the bus skidded off the road to fall into a gorge near Brel of Waterhail village in Budgam district.
The bus was completely crumpled, highlighting the damage caused to the passengers. Videos and images from the accident site were shared by several users on Internet.
Local people rushed in to start rescue operations before security forces and other departments joined.
