Engine Of Passenger Train Catches Fire In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: The engine of a passenger train caught fire triggering panic among the passengers in Odisha’s Balasore district on Friday.

As per reports, a passenger of the train found heavy smoke coming out of the engine and alerted the Railway staff on the train. On being informed and locomotive pilot stopped the train at Laxmannath Road station.

He evacuated the staff from the engine room and informed the officials of the station seeking help to extinguish the fire. Smoke was coming from the mobile link of the engine’s suspension spring, according to eyewitnesses. Nobody was injured in the incident.

The Railway officials requested the passengers of the train to disembark and made arrangements for transportation to their destinations.
