Boudh: Fire Service and ODRAF personnel recovered the body of an engineer from Salunki Dam near Palujhar in Boudh district on Sunday evening.
The deceased was identified as R Mukundam, a native of Tamil Nadu. He was working in a mega lift irrigation project as an engineer at Kumbhia in Angul district.
According to reports, Mukundam had gone to the dam with his three associates for a bath on Sunday evening when his mobile phone fell into the water. To retrieve his phone, he jumped into the dam and remained untraced.
Following information, Fire Service and ODRAF personnel rushed to the spot and recovered the body about one km from the dam.
