Bhubaneswar: The Vigilance sleuths on Monday unearthed a multi-storey building, 7 plots in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 38 lakh, investment in crypto currency and a four wheeler along with other assets during simultaneous searches on the properties of Cuttack Sadar block assistant engineer Bikash Chandra Bhuyan.
He also spent Rs 1 crore on engineering and medical education of his two children, a Vigilance release said.
Searches are being conducted at his residence, native village and office on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack.
1.Residential house at Soubhagya Nagar, Bhubaneswar.
2.House at native village at Lehenga, Narsinghpur police limits, Cuttack district
3. House of relative at Chakeisihani, Bhubaneswar.
4.Office chamber at Sadar Block, Cuttack.
ASSETS UNEARTHED
1) A double-storey well-furnished building over plot No.1116 of area 3200 sqft at Soubhagya Nagar, Bhubaneswar.
2) Seven plots at prime locations in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. Details are under;
3) Bank deposits worth Rs 12.62 lakh.
4) Gold and Silver jewellery worth Rs 38 lakh.
5) Investment in crypto currency worth Rs 1.23 lakh
6) 1 four wheeler (Duster) and 3 two wheelers worth Rs 13.40 lakh.
Searches are continuing. The measurement and valuation/assessment of the building/plots are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing, it added.
