Berhampur: Police on Sunday rescued an electrical engineering student, who was hooked to the deadly Blue Whale Challenge game, at Berhampur in Ganjam district.
The student identified as Chandan Prasad Khuntia, hailing from Ralaba village under Hinjili police limits in the district, had completed four levels of the game. He had also posted a picture of blue whale drawn on his left hand on his Facebook page.
Earlier in the morning, a youth was hospitalized in Kendrapada district after he allegedly slashed his right wrist to finish a task of the online game.
