Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday directed the officials to ensure that the families of deceased COVID Warriors do not face any problem in availing the state government assistance.
Presiding a high-level meeting through video-conferencing, the chief minister said the ministers and the departments concerned should take the responsibility of etending due assistance to the families of the COVID Warriors who made the suprme sacrifice on duty. Any kind of negligence in this regard would not be tolerated, he added.
Naveen also directed to focus on the quality of services provided in COVID hospitals and COVID Care Centres. Besides, steps should be taken to improve ambulance services.
Stating that there are still misconceptions on home quarantine, he called for formulating an effective IEC (information, entertainment and campaign) programme. It should be given top priority, the chief minister said.
