Deputy Chief Ministers K V Singh Deo and Pravati Parida also attended the meeting.

The Chief Minister also sought the cooperation of the officers to ensure speedy action on the proposals made by the state government at the NITI Aayog meeting, an official release said.

In order to fulfil the dream of a ‘Viksit Odisha,’ proper cooperation and coordination between the Centre and the state in these sectors is essential, he stressed.

“When India would have become Viksit Bharat in 2047, Odisha would have become number one state and a Viksit Odisha,” Majhi said.

Noting that Odisha has been accorded importance in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Purvodaya Vikas Yojana, Majhi said PM Modi’s special focus on Odisha has created enormous opportunities for the development of the state. Odisha will be able to achieve the desired goal with the cooperation of all, he said.

The Chief Minister said that Odisha requires Centre’s cooperation in certain key sectors, including development of ports, establishment of industrial corridor and industrial parks, spread of railways and airports. Enhanced financial allocations is necessary for the growth of these sectors.

Central assistance is also required for the development of natural disaster resilient infrastructure, green energy, hydro storage plant, solar projects, the CM said, adding that spread of banking network is also essential to ensure wider financial inclusion.
