Bhubaneswar: The ESDA Environmental Excellence Award for 2021 has been presented to Dr Shishira Kanta Behera of the Institute of Agricultural Sciences (IAS), faculty of agricultural sciences of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) here.
The award, instituted by the New Delhi-based Environment and Social Development Association (ESDA), was presented to Prof Behera, for his outstanding contribution in the field of irrigation engineering and ground water management system.
Prof Behera, presently Director (Research, Consultancy and Placement) at the IAS, received the award at the World Environment Summit 2021 organised by ESDA at New Delhi from October 1 to 3.
