Bhubaneswar: Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC) chairperson Upendra Nath Behera inaugurated eOffice, an office automation system, here on Tuesday.
By adopting eOffice, the OERC will automate its workflow, transact using electronic files and documents and thus, strive towards becoming a paperless office, official sources said.
Centre for Monitoring Government Initiatives (CMGI) has sponsored the implementation of the said system from National Informatic Centre (NIC), at OERC.
However, OERC will switch to eOffice system fully from January 1, after using both the paper-based and electronic systems parallely for two months, the sources added.
