Bhubaneswar: The answer sheets of Summative Assessment (SA)-1 examination of Class X students conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, will begin on December 9, informed BSE Vice President Nihar Ranjan Mohanty on Wednesday.
According to sources, 12,450 teachers will be engaged in the evaluation process which will be carried out at 56 centres. The evaluation will be done from 9 am to 5 pm.
A total of 5,40,712 students appeared for the SA-1 in 3029 centers this year. Similarly, 2,914 examinees appeared for Madhyama Exams at 108 centers and 7,181 students have taken the exam in 146 centers for Open School Certificate exam.
Special squads were formed for the smooth conduct of examinations and to prevent cheating. Mobiles were not allowed inside the examination centre. The examinees were not allowed to take anything inside the hall except the pen and the admit card.
Notably, both of these exams are of equal importance as these will be added for the awarding of High School and Madhyama Certificates. Both SA-1 and SA-2 carry equal weightage i.e 40 per cent weightage.
Final results will be published on the basis of 40 per cent weightage each for SA-1 and SA-2 and 20 per cent weightage for internal assessment.
