Bhubaneswar: Mounting a stinging attack on Odisha’s BJD government over duplicate certificate racket, BJP on Tuesday alleged that everything in the state, starting from administration to recruitment, appears to be fake.
Addressing a press meet in Bhubaneswar, BJP’s Odisha unit general secretary Golak Mohapatra claimed that lakhs of meritorious and talented students and youths are deprived of getting jobs as fake certificates have flooded the state.
Stating that the fake certificate racket has deep roots, the BJP leader alleged that almost everything – rice, tomato sauce, ghee, oil and life saving medicines – seem to be fake in the state.
“Even the government and its 5T department appear to be fake,” Mohapatra claimed, adding that the keys of Lord Jagannath’s Ratna Bhandar were also found to be duplicate.
There are fake teachers, doctors, Anganwadi workers and forest personnel, he claimed, accusing the BJD government of recruiting fake teachers in order to use them for elections.
Despite instruction to examine the certificates of teachers, the credentials of teachers are not being verified before hiring them, he alleged.
Though the High Court ordered verification of the doctors’ certificate, no step has so far been taken in this regard as influential leaders are involved in it, the BJP leader alleged, demanding a CBI investigation into the entire episode.
