Bhuabneswar: Odisha Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Surendra Kumar on Friday said that EVMs are safe in strongrooms across Odisha.
A platoon of police has been deployed at one place in Puri, where the barricade has been damaged, he said.
The CEO further said that repolling in 12 booths, where irregularities were reported during third phase of elections, and 22 booths of fourth phase is likely to be held on May 19.
While master trainers are currently undergoing training in EVM, VVPAT slip and ballot paper counting, that for returning officers will be held on May 13 and 14 and district-level training from May 14-19. Counting will be done simultaneously at five booths in each constituency, he added.
