Mumbai: Former COO of Balaji Telefilms, Zulfiqar Khan, is untraceable for nearly three months since going missing from Nairobi, Ekta Kapoor has revealed.
The joint MD and creative head of Balaji Telefilms took to Instagram to post about Zulfiqar and requested Ministry of External Affairs and Kenya Red Cross to intervene.
Actor Karan Kundrra also took to social media about Zulfiqar.
“I’ve known Zulfiqar since ages but worked closely with him during lockup and he’s a gem of a person with a child-like approach towards life which made us click instantly.. he would send me pictures of all the beautiful places that he travelled to! Unfortunately #zulfiqarkhan.. has been missing since over 75 days and we are worried! I can only imagine what his loved ones must be going through I urge you to help sign this petition and spread the word.. we want Zulfi back,” Karan tweeted.
MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi informed that a police complaint was duly filed and a petition filed in Kenyan court.
“Two Indian nationals – Zulfiqar Ahmad Khan and Zaid Sami Kidwai – have been missing in Kenya since mid-July. A Police complaint has been filed there soon after that. Subsequently, a habeas corpus petition was filed in the Kenyan court,” Bagchi informed.
