Bhawanipatna: A week after the raid on his house and a business establishment, Vigilance sleuths arrested former BJD MLA from Bhawanipatna, Anam Naik on Thursday.
Naik’s arrest was confirmed by the Jeypore Vigilance wing.
Vigilance sleuths had conducted simultaneous raids on the house of Naik at Naktiguda in Bhawanipatna and his hotel at Madanpur-Rampur town on January 17 on the allegation of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Naik was elected as MLA from Bhawanipatna on BJD ticket in the Assembly election in 2014.
